what companies do you reccommend? i've heard most of the times are DAS... so far for my NYSP Caprice to be shipped here to Florida from NY would be $800 by UnitedRoad.. are they good?
Express auto transport $1,060..
DAS $1070
Fedex $1629...
I would appreciate feedbacks or suggestions.

Some one told me there was a rail car system too that works great on the east coast. You might check that out. If not get a plane ticket fly up and drive back. I doubt it would cost you $800.00 to do that.

Hmm as of right now, i pretty much figured.. hotel, gas, food.. its close to 800 plus my vacation hours are low so i rather not to use it u.. my other choice is to ship it.. that owner has health problems so he cant drive, he has kids to take care of.. so best way to go is 2 ways.. me come there to pick it up or have it shipped here via truck by door to door.

400.00 gas
100.00 plane (Southwest airlines)
150.00 food
60.00 motel
I took 2 days. I drove from D.C. to Houston, Texas 1460 miles in just under 24 hours (drive time) 32 hours total.
$370.00 total no plane ticket though.
I ate at the drive through of choice and gas was avg. $3.60 gallon and I was getting avg. 20mpg. I stayed 1 night for $55.00 motel.

That's a deal for an "in-op" from Northern California to Ohio. I'm surpised you could find ANYONE that would even touch an "in-op" in California right now!

Mike did you ever figure out what you are doing to get the Caprice to Florida?

Still pondering about the shipping or me coming up to pick it up.. its a tough decision based on stupid gas prices and so forth.

The longer you wait the more the gas prices will rise.

I have used BTExpress several times. http://www.btexpressauto.com/
Ask for Lance or Jamie and tell them I sent you. $800 is high for the eastern seaboard but maybe not anymore!!!

I've used AAAllstates 7 times so far without a problem. Randy is a great guy to deal with. They're going to ship FHP 432 to me next week.
