I was a senior in high school. I remember walking into my second period class and the teacher had the TV on. Watched the news the entire class period in shock.

i was working my first year as a PO had just left the sheriffs dept.
i can remember them talking how there was another plane in the air right in our county.
the shanksville plane crashed about 35 minutes away from our office. a few
of our deputys were out at the crash scene right after it happened
more than anything i was worried about my wife who works near downtown pittsburgh.
two women who i work with whose husbands are troopers were stationed at that crash site for weeks after it happened too.

I was working Mids, just before I was transferred to training and began teaching full-time. I got a wake-up call just after the first one hit, and was up for the rest of the day (and that night).

I was driving to our airport in Milwaikee where I worked part time and heard it on the car radio. When I got to the airport, it was shut down completly, nothing in and nothing out and no one allowed in other than employees. We then watched it on TV in disbeleif.

I was on my first day off of the week and got called in to man a roof patrol of the PD. Even in the small town in CA where I worked, we were on high alert. :( I remember waking up and turning on the TV just in time to watch the second plane hit the WTC. Pretty freaky.

I was driving my unit after a midnight shift, to the coast guard station for a hair cut, and liscening to the CB radio. I hered a guy in spanish yelling about a plane crashing. On TV I saw the second plane and then the coast guard station was on lock down and my pager started going off. I was on field force stand by for about a week.
