Window Tint

Did any agencies use window tint? My 89 Arizona car has tint on it and the last owner believes it was bought from the auction that way in 97.

It pretty much standard on most agencies cars here in AZ. The DPS/HP units all have tint and my local department has their cars with near limo dark tint on them. Some AZ agencies like DPS sometimes will not tint the back window due to various warning/deck lights effectiveness being compromised.

CHP and other agencies out here use tint mostly just for their K9 units. When deck lights are present, they cut the tint out around them:

I was wondering the same thing but then I saw the landscape throught the hood so I guess its a louvered hood?

I was wondering the same thing but then I saw the landscape throught the hood so I guess its a louvered hood?Yes, it's a louvered panel inserted into the hood of the K9 units to help provide some extra heat extraction from the engine compartment as these cars are never turned off while on duty.
