Unit 432 FHP has been professionally restored and all mechanical issues have been repaired (new clutch, recharge A/C, etc..). Car was stripped to metal and repainted to original. Car looks awesome! Has magnetic decals so car can be driven on the road. Does not have 2-way radio, radar, light panel or other in car equipment, but does have correct light bar and spotlight. Had it restored so it can be driven daily. Only modifications are complete exhaust system(Flowmasters) and mild cam. Has a very nice sound to it.
The body is very straight. This unit was on the "Real Stories of the Highway Patrol" in 1994 while it was still in service. Also it was a LoJack car! Have a DVD of that episode.
Have decided to sell the car so I can put a down payment on another house.
There is over $14K in this car and I have all receipts. Paint restoration alone was $4500. not counting all the parts. Brand new set of BF Goodrich tires, new carpet, windshield, exterior trim, headlight set, tail light set, etc... Seats are original and in very good condition. Transmission is a factory rebuid. I will take $14K and will offer it on this forum before putting on Craig's List. Email me at jam22960@aol.com for photos.

It would help your sale if you had a link to all the pictures while in restoration and what year is the car? 1993? Good luck with the sale.

It is a 1991 and I am going to take more photos once I get a hold down strap for the Jetstream light bar. Just wanted to let people on this forum that it is for sale and will be on eBay in about two weeks if nobody has interest. The paint job is show quality.

Will be another 2 weeks due to spider gears making a little noise. I am going to fix it before I sell it. Am not going to sell something to anyone knowing it has a problem. Also am going to install an adjustable clutch cable for convienence and ease of adjustment.

Since the market is flooded right now and also a poor economy, I am going to wait until after the 1st of the year to try to sell. Have over $15k in the car and don't want to take a big loss.

If anyone is interested they can email me at jam22960@aol.com and I can send photos and video from the "Real Stories of the Highway Patrol". Have approx. $15K in this car because I did not want a cheap paint job. The paint job w/ new windshield, moldings, headlights, tail lights, carpet, etc.. was over $5000. The transmission is a factory rebuild with a new clutch. Rear end was rebuilt also. The engine runs very strong and compression was in the high 170's, so the engine is very strong. The only modifications are a mild cam and complete exhaust (w/o converters) including headers. The mufflers are "Flow Masters" and sounds awesome. Have the correct light bar (not hard wired) and spotlight (wired in). Decals(magnetic) and light bar are easily removable so that it can be street driven and also set up as patrol car in a matter of minutes for shows. Interior is mostly a well maintained original w/ a few minor flaws. Have the Lojack antenna's also. Will be putting it on Craigs list this week. Will take $14K. Need to sell so I can use the money for down payment of a house.

Is it unit 432 or 423? This the same car that Mike (Vintagecarracer) purchased not long ago in FL?

You are right, it is 432. Thanks. Heard on the news that we are at the end of the recession and that things will start to pick up. Hope they are right.

This was a good solid car before Tom restored the car.

If you want a rare and unique FHP car with a neat television history for documentation and a very unusual use & equipment package when in FHP service, this car is for you!

This car is a very unique FHP SSP Mustang!

Thanks Mike. Is very solid and even the undercarriage is clean. Had planned on keeping, but switched police departments and am selling my 87 911 Porsche and the Mustang, so I can put down a sizable down payment on a house in Horseshoe Bay.

The car is pretty fully documented, and is shown in several reenactments from the Real Stories of the Highway Patrol series. I wouldn't let the lack of bucktags keep me from buying it.

I can't believe it only got to $6100.
