LOL! I just found that car today. I just joined the site after finding the car and this site. How can you tell if it is a true ssp car? I've had 2 FHP cars in the past and new what they were. Can you tell by just the VIN?

You can't tell by the VIN, but a 6 digit DSO on the door tag is a good sign. Check out the tech section here:

I didn't buy the car if that is what you meant. I just thought it was ironic that I found the same ad earlier. After speaking with the guy it seems like a buy for a restorer, but I'm looking for a driver.

Pekin IL is a little south of Peoria, which kind of makes it west central IL. About a three hour drive from my place, maybe a little more with the weather.
