Sold my FFR Cobra today and I'm on the hunt for a SSP to fill the garage void. One of the main issues I have is lack of time to travel all over the US. I work crazy hours and weird hours and have a K9 partner that I prefer not to board in a kennel (and dont want to haul him around with me off duty). I need to limit my travel distance to 350 miles from Atlanta.

What I'm looking for?

A nicer/upper level car. No junk.
Not a concourse restored trailer queen.
Something that can (and will) be driven.
Prefer a slick top or Unmarked
No serious mods.

Anyone who has a lead on something, please let me know.

89 GSP that's been muddled with a bit. Nothing too drastic. Parts already on order.

Put back to a nicer occasional driver. I'll leave it a slick top and get some magnets made for display purposes.

The suspension is completely crapped out. driving it home, people were getting out of my way on the interstate cause the front was bouncing so high, it looked like I was flashing my high beams at them. Struts/shocks/springs - along with new/repaired interior and brakes. The dang thing runs great - purrs even, but does have 191k miles. Probably leave it as is just for now. Already found some local 10 holes to replace those goofy pony wheels. The paint is actually pretty nice, but will have the parts that are suppose to be light gray resprayed. Gotta fix the speedo ... 70mph (displayed) felt VERY fast as I passed folks like they were standing still. My escort calls and says we're topping 90mph!! RPMs were still on 2600-2700. Thinking it definitely has a 2.73 rear gear.

Then, just enjoy it. :)

That sounds like a great plan! Looks like it'll be a really fun car. Congrats!

well ... it wont be to that Anthony level of perfection and I'm sure you'll still look at it cross-eyed, but I'll be happy with it. :)

Did JayG ever get you those pics? If you run across another SSP and dont want it - hollar - thinkin I'll get another one for Deb to drive.

Thanks. Got some low mileage stock shocks on it and been driving it around a bit on my days off. Just about everywhere I stop, someone will ask about the car - "is that an old Trooper car?". Cant wait to get all the interior stuff done - it's pretty clapped out inside with the rattle can paint job on the seats (bleh) and now I've pulled all the rear stuff out of it.
