Saw a link to these videos in a thread on Copcar.com. The first one is more of a demo of what the chase vehicles do (looks like GTOs), and the second has some footage of both 4-eyed and aero Mustangs (f bomb warning on the second one).

Great videos. Being a pilot, I really feel for those guys in the second video trying to land. I know exactly what's going through their minds when control is being lost. I had a student tag a snow bank when we were trying to land. There was no way I could have saved us. We landed pretty hard and pretty short. But walked away with out a scratch. Can't say the same for the airplane.

Yeah, The airplane was totaled. It was more surprising than scary when it happened. There was only one time I was scared, when we were trying to get away from a thunderstorm. When we got back on the ground and back in the hangar, I felt like throwing up!

I have had a student or two (or three or four) take me off the runway, like in that second video. I hate when that happens. What goes through my mind is "I hope we don't take out that runway light!" Those do more damage than grass.
