Hi all, I would like to see this original 92 FHP #1118 go to a good SSP Home. I will honor a $500 discount to members here but you will need to call me. I've just purchased a couple other mustangs and in process of restoring my 93 FHP. So, until the ebay listing ends in about a week I will honor the first 11,999.00 from here. I know you will be pleased if you like originality. Thanks Greg 704-288-1967

Nice offer, Greg.

The car is only original once. For that much money, I'd much rather have one that only needs a little detail work (and the correct equipment). Good luck with the sale.

Which '93 are you restoring?

I would love to have yours right next to my '88 FHP.

Good luck with the sale!

Yeah...saw a mention of "TEN" on the description, also. Somebody apparently doesn't read very well. The info about the unit number has been out there for awhile. :D

Greg's '93 is FHP 801 (if i'm not mistaken) which was on craigslist a little while back for 10k firm. I wanted it but the guy would not budge.

Just saw the latest comedic relief posted elsewhere. You guys are right....a car with a replacement engine, hacked up wiring, and holes in the seat is worth more than one with the original engine and in-service documentation; including pictures of the car in-service, which are posted on this site. I love it...this makes the second "restoration" sold with holes in the seat. :No no:

MAGM hits another lick...er...makes another sale I mean.

Mike,
i am starting to take insult with all this now and it really question all the work i did to the 91 fhp in question.

that was my car at one time and i collected all of the equipment for it and put the replacement motor in it and got it running alot better than it did. when it showed up at my house 2 years ago it was a turd that wouldn't even idle and well on its way to being hot rodded.
bruce who bought the car from me, also did a great job on the bodywork stripping the car down to bare metal and having everything repainted professionally.

isn't what this hobby is suppossed to be about bringing these cars back how they looked new?

does that mean unless someones has an all original ssp our restored ones are no good?
i looked at in person over the summer an "all original" 92 fhp #1794 and frankly with the dents, paint scratches and shoddy paint matching from its in service accidents i'd be embarrassed to take it to any show. thats not how i show my cars.

your beef with the seller aside, how many fhp cars have been for sale with the fhp correct lightbar, JSS controller, correct and working florida radar?
not to mention that spectra i had in that was fully functional and just needed hooked up? not to mention it had a few thousand dollars of NOS parts on it and a good bit of money spent on powdercoating to detail the motor.

i am not taking sides but hell when i owned it and was doing everything to it everyone on both sites bent over backwards helping me to find all the correct equipment, answering questions, telling me the motor powdercoating looked great etc and it would have turned out excactly the same way except i would have done more little detail stuff to it.

When I "restore" my cars I fix ripped seats. Guess my dedfinition is different. Yeh I know I am just a sour old jerk today. The comedy just never ceases to amaze me.

Russ,

Unless you are the person who hacked up the wiring, I wouldn't take offense.

I agree with you about fixing the cars up and making them look like new.

The car was purchased by the current seller, what, 2 months ago? Its being listed as "restored". My definition of that is apparently close to what Jim's is....this one isn't quite done yet.

Bottom line, I expressed my opinion about the two cars head to head. If that offends you, sorry. It is what it is.

I am curious why almost every post on this site lately is negative? This is supose to be a hobby...for fun. Why must we tear everyone or car down? Each person has their idea about what certain terms mean. We are not all rich, we all do not have lives that revolve around garage decorations. We do what we can with what we have and will eventually pass it on to someone else down the road. The FHP car is better off than it was 2 months ago, 2 years ago, probably 10 years ago. The seller stated as soon as he got he was going to sell it since it was used as a trade for a used car. He brought it to the point for someone to enjoy and to finish if they choose.

I agree everyone is intitled to their opinion. But let us remember that the new owner may come to this site and join only to see all these negative comments about his/her car....what a welcome to a new member.

We all talk about helping each other, so let's do that...not keep bashing one another.

Wow...almost every post lately on this site is negative? You need to check your facts.

The FHP car, being passed around by the same few who have become famous for this, is not better off than it was before. Stubes was on the right track with the car, and the same may be said for whoever owned it after him (I have no idea who that is, just going by what Russ posted). However, being passed around and flipped is not my idea of "good" for it.

The recent practice of buying and selling and flipping the same cars over and over again does nothing but add to the volatility of the market. Putting the FHP car on eBay, just to sell it, is another example of this. Who knows where it will end up now?

If the new owner shows up here, and hasn't gotten drunk from the Kool-Aid serving, chalk-outline-flag waving siren tooters in the hobby, he/she will be welcomed and helped to fix whatever might be wrong with the car.

Well, the first 2 are about the same car, and the third one is about a car that was made into a racecar. Something that the majority here don't approve of. If calling BS is being negative I guess we're negative.

No prob, Chris....you are free to do so here.

Nastiness and bitterness aside, not everybody has the same opinion. When people come to this site and talk up someone, they can expect to hear an opposing opinion if one exists.

Personally, I'm not bitter....I just call out the BS (just like I did with you once on the other site). No hard feelings.

Mike well said but I have some more to add.

I can asure you that people come here for the SOLE purpose to stir up crap just like the jerk with the 2000 hp FHP car. I would bet money he was referred to this site also. He was dealt with appropriately as will be the next person like him that shows up.

When someone comes on here singing the praises of someone that IMO is an absolute fraud to this hobby I will always speak my mind. You might disagree with me and that is ok. But if I have to read your love and kisses "he is a great guy" crap then you get to read mine. I have a different opinion and it's from personal experience.

What I find interesting is the fact that people claim to abhore the negativity, then jump right in with their own. You can't have it both ways. If you log onto this web site and are offended by the attitudes of the moderators towards ricky racers, car flipping MAGMs, or greedy gougers I don't know what to say to you. It isn't going to change and a large percentage of the core members here are all on the same page.

If you like .org better great. Hang out there and enjoy it. Leave us to enjoy what we have here.

Lastly if you are offended by my post I apologise as it isn't meant to be personal towards any of our members.
