I am selling my Reef Blue FHP unmarked, AS IS, to help consolidate cars and move my collection in a different direction. Many of you know it well. But for those who don't, Mike Riley purchased it at auction from FHP and it has been in the hands of collectors since. All stewards prior to me took excellent care to preserve this SSP and it remains very clean and basically rust free. I, on the other hand, did not care for it as well as the others. Last February, I was involved in a collision with a Tahoe and damaged the driver's front side. Major parts known to need replacing are bumper cover, driver's headlight and corner light, driver's fender, hood, and inner fender apron. Frame was not damaged, as the impact was high. Crumple zone did its job and it did not affect the shock tower. Air bag not deployed. Please see pics.

The car can be very nice once again, but I have lost interest after damaging such an original car. I need to go a different direction to clear my head of guilt. I am asking $3400, AS IS. I do have OEM replacement parts available to the prospective owner at my cost, along with a NOS inner fender apron. Siren controller and correct lights also available. This is an easy fix for some of you with the skills to do a little body and paint work.

Having done that job before it isn't that bad if the frame isn't tweaked. Good luck with the sale.

Thank Matt, but I already have a NOS piece that I bought to fix the car right. Just can't seem to get myself to get started.

Can you post a price for all parts needed and car?

I do not have every part needed. What I know that I would still need to repair the car would be: headlight, corner light, splash shield, washer reservoir, better bumper cover, 5.0 emblem, plastic body molding, and push pins for the rectangular plastic splash shield that attached to the frame rail ( I took it off unnecessarily ). I have about $200 in the parts that I purchased, and the NOS apron is half of that. Fox parts are cheap if you shop smart. I was quoted $900 by the best body shop in Houston to repair the damage without painting, with me supplying all parts.

What's holding you back from driving the 86 FHP? Let me guess - it's too nice to drive, right?

Your black SSP was the reason I decided to paint my drip rails black. Nice car!
