I was contacted about this by a retired CSP Trooper that I met a few years ago while doing research on my '83. The CSP is having their 75th Anniversary celebration this year, Sept 25, 2010, and they are looking to have as many CSP cars there at the academy, restored or not, as possible. I'm seriously considering taking my '83 and showing it as-is. The Ret. Tpr told me that he would have the Major coordinating the show email me with further info, and I'll be sure to pass that along to you all as I get it.

The CSP website makes mention of the celebration and car show, but the link to the .pdf flyer is broken.

I was planning on taking my FHP to this event also. As we get closer to this event, Jim Y, would love to met you and if your doing the I-70 through KC, would love to travel(carevan) across Kansas with you. Also believe Copcamaro will be traveling from Jeff City, Mo.

I will be travelling across I-70. I hope to have my autopilot in good working order for the great, long, boring, flat, straight, flat, flat state of Kansas.... yawn.

Be happy to meet up along the way.

They have some new billboard signs to read. I heard there is at least three new Mcdonald's up in the last three years and Hays, Kansas got a couple new babys to ad to the US population! As we get closer to the event, we will work the logistics out.

I talked with Major Bratt today. Sounds like a good time. I am planning on leaving early enough in the week to make it to all the events. I will most likely bring my camper also to cut down on the lodging expenses.

He called me today, also. Long drive, but the 75th only comes around once.

Hector,

I missed your question earlier, but my car will definitely be on a trailer.

I think that picture is an '86, but it's hard to tell.

Really nice picture with the background in that part of the country. I'll take a guess that it's a '85. If you look close in the center of the engine bay it appears the shiney item is the air cleaner lid and at the front of the lid you can just see a small patch of black being the air cleaner base. As was stated - very difficult to tell and I certainly could be incorrect, but it's fun to guess.:)

Just found the dso tag and its dso 76 which is colorado. Would a 91 be a good canidate for the show. Also mine is a little modded has 5 star svt wheels and cobra brakes but other than that its all stock, well also has a f303 cam in it and some headers.

1FACP40E4MF177154 is the vin do you think colorado would help reunite it with the trooper for the shows?

I was hoping to reunite my 88 Colorado SSP with it's original trooper also...?
As per Major Bratt , The troopers listed in my CSP paperwork have passed away after retirement.
The Major has been going thru a bunch of old pics to see if he can locate our cars and the original drivers , still have my fingers crossed.

COPCAMARO & Myself will be leaving the KCMO area around 0800-0830 hours on Wednesday Sept.22, 2010 to make the scenic trip across Kansas to Colorado. (One Florida Camaro and One Florida Mustang traveling together) . If you would like to join " wagons west", please let me know.

Have not decided on my return route/ date from Colorado back to Missouri. COPCAMARO will be heading west to Calif. looking for gold. You are welcome to join us in our travels across the pretty scenic state of Kansas. We were thinking of having a contest.....who can collect the most grasshoppers with the front of their car !

Not sure on this board who is going, as it seems to be a secret....However, Larry Andziunas (B4C Camaro) is planning some early events and is doing a cook out at his house on Thursday night.

Email him for a head count & directions at coderun@msn.com. There is a trip(driving) planned and escorted by the Colorado Highway Patrol, through the moutains and in to Morrision, Colo. Larry has more info, email for the info.

Will see all on Friday the 24th !

I don't think it is a secret here. It might seem that way as we tend to focus somewhat less on the social networking aspect of the hobby in comparison to other sites.

I am not going because I have some medical issues I am still dealing with from my on-duty crash a year ago. That and the money I would spend could be utilized better by continuing the work on the barn.

Enjoy the show and take lots of pictures for us. :)

Font is the same, but the black outline on the numbers is a little different. The STATE PATROL looks a little thicker as well. I'm not 100% if mine was PATROL or TROOPER; I have pics of both.

Tpr David Harper drove my car...and I have talked with him (he sent me pics of the car, as did Ron). The other Tpr was Dennie Hancock. David reached out to Hancock for me but didn't have much luck.

I would have really liked to make the show...glad you got to go.
