Thought I would bring everyone up to date on my 83 Idaho. I have to finish some things yet I took it to a show for display and I want to share how it turned with members.

You Know the ISP Idaho State Police had a display a few years ago at the Idaho State
fairgrounds car show
and they had a 40's car a two door 80's C car a vintage Harley
and when i asked about a Mustang they said you know
...........we should have kept one!
Your Car looks great!

Thanks for the compliments everyone. They are encouraging.
Andy, the Troopers I met from Wisconsin said the same thing. I was invited to their retirement gettogether in Aug to show the WI SSP.

I agree - it's great to have your car represent that agency. Your Idaho SSP looks fantastic!

Thanks everyone. One feels a great pride in his work when he gets such praises and approval from his peers. I know many here have some great looking cars and have put a lot of time and effort and even beyond to restore their SSPs to close to in-service as possible and to share with others here. I am proud to to be a member here.

If you do not have this already PM me your address and i will send it your way. The ISP mag contains some information about the Boss is Back program including the number of cars purchased. It also has an ad in the back for the ISP hat. The hat is brand new and doesn't appear to ever have been worn.

This stuff needs to be with your car since mine is an 86. :)

Jim,
Do you have these items as I would really like to get them. I'll PM my address to you. I also have a picture of a 86 wrecked and shows a front push bar.

George,

yes I have the hat and trooper mag so I will send them out when I get your address. ISP ran push bumpers on the larger sedans but not on the Mustangs. I have never seen an in service picture of one with a push bumper.

That caprice looks like it was hit by a train. You know it is never good when EMS has to cut the roof off to get at the driver. Hope the trooper survived that one.

Jim,
E mail sent to you with address.
When I saw the picture, I thought it was a Mustang because of the wheel caps.

thanks Mike. I picked that stuff years ago in the event I might need it. No reason for me to hang on to it since I am done buying cars and my ISP is an 86. I am however countin on George to help me figure out what equipment I need for mine. ;)

When ever you are ready Jim. Will you be going to the PCOOA in Indy July 1,2,3?

no I will not be in Indy. several different reasons why I don't plan on going, the main one is I have to work that weekend and don't want to burn three vacation days.

the stuff went out today so you should have it within a couple days.
