Uncovering more clues

I cleaned off an authorized modification label on the fan shroud with some paint thinner. It had a date of 1/20/1988 and a dealer # of 07852. I found a list of dealer codes at http://gtcsregistry.com/dealercodes.htm. The dealership it had the work done at was Fairview Ford in San Bernardino, Ca. It is about 6 miles from the San Bernardino CHP office. I know it is not a confirmation, but it narrows it down. I pass this along so guys with mystery cars may be able to track down some info.

That's great information! Do you know if that is the CHP office where your car served? Uncovering even the smallest detail about your car's history is a big part of the charm for these SSP's.

Thanks to Bill I got my assignment card last week. I was able to confirm it spent its time in the CHP assigned to the San Bernardino office (860). The Ford Authorization sticker with the dealer # got it narrowed down pretty close.
