Car is now torn apart and getting ready to be sanded and prepped for paint. The guy doing this is a professional body-paint man doing it as a side job. He does some of the work at home in his garage where you see the car pictured. The paintwork is done at his work in a booth.

One more thing I noticed today. I pulled up the carpet where the driver's seat used to be and noticed not only the stock SSP bracing for the floor but also some odd front seat bolt bracing, reinforcement or mount where the front studs are..is this a CHP thing?

Maybe evidence of a prior repair?

My cousin's CHP SSP had the front bolt tear away with about 2 inches of sheet metal from the brace about 3 days after he bought it. My hunch is that they may have started to reinforce the seat bolt areas due to similar failure?
