What style and pattern seats came in the 90 CHP's. I know they're grey, but were they the standard 5.0 tweed pattern or the 4cyl LX style like alot of SSP's were? If so are they the solid color or checkerboard pattern? I've got an excellent set of grey checkered patterns from a low milaged 93, but I'd like to know whats original...Thank, Bobby

Looks like the checkerboard didn't start until 1991. They would have been reinforced "plain" LX-type seats IIRC. If the code is AA then it was Titanium cloth seats according to my book.

Bobby,

+1 to what Greg said.

Something I've done for each of my cars is to buy the Ford Color/Trim books for each year model. Inside, you will find actual samples of the fabric used for your car. It's good stuff to have if you find some locally and need to match it up.

There happens to be a 1990 book on eBay as I'm typing this.

Sounds like you've got a set of Opal Grey seats, code G6. Looks to be the only year for those. Correct style seat, though. I don't see why you couldn't use them until you found the correct ones.

I may just do that... Thanks for all the help. I'll watch that trim book, could be useful...
