Conn cars were blue unless there were some different colors I never saw. You would need 15K or more to restore it. Just not worth it unfortunately

I found this on the web. I have seen a poster with a red Mustang sitting across from a Buick Grand National. Check out the Mazda! SWEET!!! There are not too many pictures of Conn SSP's ???

You may have already viewed this thread, but it may be helpful -

Was the seller ever able to give you the 6-digit DSO? Regarding the comment about Conn SSP's being blue (to the best of his knowledge), what color are the shock towers on this car?

Unfortunately there are not many Conn cars around to compare it to, first I would verify it is an SSP. Check for the usual cetified speedo, single key, trunk release, ground straps under hood / trunk, and full size spare. The DSO on the door is a good start. Post the DSO and we can figure out what office it was ordered through. I would look for any old state inventory stickers sometimes found in the door jams or glove box if they are still there. I had somebody ask at their fleet headquarters to see if they could verify a car was a Conn car but they said all records from this time were shredded.
Possibly Carfax may be your best bet to show if it was titled to the State of Conn.
There is a member on .org I think his user name is Healey Bill or something close to it. He has a couple CSP cars and you may see if he can steer you in the right direction.
About the buck tags sometimes they are hard to find, the guy I bought mine from could not find them either. When I got it home I found mine painted red on the core support just to the left of the headlight.
Good Luck, Hopefully it is clean and has no rust!

DSO reads 580146, car has all of the proper CSP details including antenna location, dual spot lights, speedo, single key, correct color the car fax shows vehicle shipped to dealer and nothing else until resold in 1992.
thanks for all of your help

The 58 decodes as "Twin Cities". The rest of the number, 0146, is the ORDER number, ie. the 146th order for the year. There's nothing to break down from that number, despite the misinformation posted elsewhere.
Here's the Ford documentation for the info above:

I think Conn State cars were leased through General Electric Corp (GELCO) and check out this thread by Bill Wood, he answers alot of questions about CSP cars.

Nice. +1 on what Jack said. Also, don't get confused by the first thread Jack linked to; the hatchback car Bill has/had was NOT an SSP.
