In war, there are no unwounded soldiers.
Honor our Veterans for without them Lord knows where we would be.

God bless the living veterans, and the ones that didn't make it back.

Glad someone started this thread. This Veterans Day really struck me as I made sure my flag flew at my house.
I returned last week from Texas & Lousiana, and the news Monday Nov 1, was filled in south Lousiana of a young Marine who lost his life. I dont know his name or rank only the news story that just made me mad as hell.
Apparently there was a gathering of an active patoon or unit in New Orleans over Halloween night Oct 31. The young Marine and his wife were walking in the French area. A gang of you know whos started verbally assualting his wife at which time a fight took place. The young Marine was knifed to death in front of his wife and wearing his dress blues. This Marine died on the streets of New Orleans, not some third world s#%t whole. This young Marine the news stated had served two tours overseas, was on leave visiting his wife and buddies.
I dont know if the suspects were ever caught. That story has just angred me and as I flew my flag, I could only thing of that young Marine. At my house this year I salute this young Marine and what he stood for and what he has done to make my life one of freedom.
