must be the way the light is shining on them. They are about 25% more glossy than the last "new in the Ford box wheels" I bought.

As for the price in TODAY'S market the tires are worth 1000.00, the caps are worth 600.00, and the wheels are worth 500.00. By the time you bought them and had them shipped you would NOT be getting gouged. If it was my set I would ask the same. If I had the $$ laying around I would buy them for a spare set. These parts are just going to go up in price so if you are seriously planning on keeping a car and this is something you need then it is a no brainer. If you are a flipper wanting to hit a quick lick on a car these are not for you.

I hear ya Jim! My CHP came with 10-holes because a previous owner installed 87-up front brakes. But I would love to put a set of steelies back on my four-eyed SSP at some point (non-OEM tires are OK, since the car is a driver). These wheel/tires are actually too nice for my needs.

I don't think anyone buying a car worth 5k-6k is going to spend 2k for the correct wheels/tires.

eBay gives a pretty good idea of what the market thinks. I guess we'll see where these end up. Personally, I would have started the auction much lower and put a reserve on it.

These wheels are only good for the guy with a correct show car. It would be silly to put them on a driver quality car - like putting sneakers on with a tux. I have more than the asking price invested, and just thought someone doing a correct concours resto would need them.

Who would most likely be found on one of the websites, but are still few and far between. Good luck with the sale, though.
