I stumbled upon an 84 WSP SSP that came up on CL in the last 2 days about a mile from my house. Stopped by last night to see it and shoot some pics.

The daylight went fast last night - and did not have a chance to get a shot of the driver door, and did not see buck tags.

Car is rough. Needs pretty much everything, but is all there for the most part. Will not start, as the starter is out. Mis-matched front seats. I can tell from the holes on the upper part of the passenger door panel this was a full partition car (vs. just the roll bar).

The panels are hacked from speaker holes. The seller says that he's had the car 8 months - and the guy before had it for 15 years. Original wheels are long gone. The passenger rear wheel is broken (he hit a curb).

Still has the WSP fuel filler system up near the radiator (for pulling in behind a motorist and rendering emergency fuel fill-up). Has the "LG" writing on the firewall from McCallom Ford (Leonard Griffin). All the holes on the firewall suggest WSP equipment mounts.

Car has had the rear end and exhaust swapped out of an 89. No pics in the original ad - the photos I took above.

I have too many SSPs - so cannot take this one. The seller is hurting for cash and wants a quick sale. Sounded like his floor would be $1K. There were 25 1984 units with the WSP - and I have only seen one other locally. I did not test drive, but he says it's been running and driving the time he's had it. At this price, I doubt it will last long - and likely will have someone race it out. :( Someone want to save a nice WSP project?

Passing along to share the love. Seller's name is Don and can be reached on e-mail at: donkroker@gmail.com

He's selling that one too (I believe). And he has a 72 Mach 1 Mustang (with some rust in the quarters.

Mach 1 is listed as:

Can't find the Firebird. Mail him if you like. He says he has 20 cars and is trying to sell 11 this weekend.
