The reason arrived at the house today, which led to why I recently sold my 1989 Minnesota State Patrol SSP Mustang. As many of you know, I have a deal with my wife (a statute of limitations if you will) on 2 Mustangs only. While I've occasionally violated that, it has always been with the understanding 1 was going up for sale and would soon resolve the overage.

For a variety of personal reasons the 1993 Missouri State Highway Patrol SSP will stay so it became as easy a decision as possible to sell the Minnesota one. I'm glad that the buyer is located in Minnesota. My new addition to the stable happens to be the 1992 Michigan State Police SSP Mustang (#5114) that Bruce Howard (evocbruce) restored and had owned for the past 10 years or so.

Since this is such a widely known SSP, I'll only say what goes without saying - Bruce has really done such a nice job with restoring and documenting this rare and low mile SSP. It is my pleasure to become the new owner and provide such a nice home for this SSP. A special thanks to Bruce and his co-pilot (Joe Horvath) for delivering to SSP to my home this afternoon.

Many thanks to Mike, he will be a great caretaker of this car. It was a smooth transaction, except that SNOW on the roadway. I have never driven this car in the snow, so an ironic twist to the end of my era of ownership!

Congratulations to both Mike and Bruce! Once upon a time, this car and mine were garage-mates while both were in the possession of Mr. Charles Ricks. The day back in 2000 when I first had the opportunity to view what was to eventually become my car, it was parked right next to it and I remember checking out both those diamonds in the rough with much enthusiasm.

Michael - That's a fun piece of history on these two cars that Bruce shared with me and also had the pics with the car's documentation. Thanks for posting it up here.
