Here's a pic of mybuck tag from my new Ga ssp. Is this a GSP if so why do states like Florida and California say Highway patrol . This one say's georgia but say special service pkg police... Was this a unmarked car or a GSP?

It's difficult to tell, but if the car has a paint code on the door sticker (looks like it does), then it is a solid color, non-special paint car. We've seen plenty of variations on what is written on the buck tags.

Without some other form of documentation, you might have a hard time figuring it out.

Does the fact that it has GEORGIA on the tag mean it is a state car and not a county car?

Not at all. We've seen a great deal of variation with what has been written on the tags. Special paint cars, like the two-tone GSP ones, almost always have the paint codes and some reference to the agency on them (ie. "Chips" for the CHP B&Ws). Solid color cars....well, the jury is still out. DSO Police, Special Service Package, Agency name, State name, City name, County name, none at all....we've seen a bunch.

Checked it out a little closer. It was white originally ,then painted brown met., then blue and is now spraybomb black.... Never had a spotlight either...But does appear to have had roof lights at one time or another, and ant. Also tan interior...
