George (Copper) and I attended Friday's 11th Annual Ferndale Emergency Vehicle Show & Cruise as part of the 17th Annual Woodward Dream Cruise. This is the first time I've attended since moving here, and was also George's first time in attendance. Great warm and sunny weather and although the economy is down seemed to be a good turnout of all variety of emergency vehicles.

I've attached a few photos. I brought my 1993 Missouri State Highway Patrol SSP. For those who have seen George's beautiful 1993 Wisonsin State Patrol SSP in person you'll note he has now attached the radar antenna as depicted in various in-service pics of their 1993 SSPs. Took lots of photos and they are in my Fotki album. Will include a few of our cars here + the Michigan State Police Dodge Charger in attendance...that was a sharp one!

They put on a pretty nice show and I'll plan to attend this one going forward, particularly as it's nearby. A ribbon cutting of the Woodward Dream Cruise happens at the end of the static show and then all the emergency vehicles conduct an escorted lights/siren cruise for several miles down Woodward Avenue and then back again. I was amazed at the quantity of people taking video of the cruise. Good seeing you again George at CEVS and here in Ferndale with your son-in-law as well!
