I finally took some pictures and got them posted of #5201.
I have been gathering parts and pieces for this car. I hate starting something when I do not have everything for it or parts to finish the project.

It has only taken me a little over 5 months to gather everything I need.
It is off to the paint shop soon.
It is in great shape, condition. 137K on it is all. Interior is in real good shape still. Minor issues, no dents or dings in the body. No rust.
Runs good :) As these were my favorite to drive on duty in the day.
Time to have one of my own I guess lol

Question... Does anyone know where I can get a driver side rear seat belt retractor cover ( pictured ) Titanium Gray. This one is shot. Or is there a way to recover them ? I found one, but it is the wrong gray.

Anyway, thought you'd like to see some pics.
I have a tough road a head of me !!
Mac88chp has set the standard on restoration of these CHP Mustangs.
I've seen his car. Beautiful job !! Hope mine comes anywhere close to the job he has done with his.

Nice car. What years did you drive them on-duty?

You can lightly dust the covers with spray dye and make them the right color.

Looks like one of the best kinds of SSPs to get, original/unmodified:thumbsup:
Is that the repaint that the CHP put on the car before sale?
Don't know if you have seen the thread or not, but I created a thread that included photos of an original complete gun rack(it is in the agency specific section I think). They should help with making your rack as correct as possible:)

Thanks,

Yep.. I've seen them. I bought a rack from your dad.
I have some rear deck lights from him I am measuring to make correct mounting plates for my lights also.

I'll be at your dad's shop one of these days also.

Hope to meet you
Take care and thanks for the pics you've posted !
They are great help !
