92 CHP #9042 made the cover of The Highway Patrolman

Looking through my dads collection of California Highway Patrolman magazines, I found a special one from 1993.
And on the cover is my dads wrecked 92 CHP SSP #9042:D
It is cool that it made the cover(and that we now have an inservice pic), but sad because of the story and that it made the cover because of the story/bad of a crash. I'll just say that the silver honda plowed into the rear of the mustang at a steady 65 MPH.

any fatalities in that wreck?

WOW! That looks like a crazy crash.

10 people were injured( 1 in the chevy, 5 in the mustang, and 5 in the Honda ), and an 8 year old died (she was one of the ones in the mustang). Very sad.
The mustang was hit so hard that it popped the passenger side quarter glass out with out breaking it(directly left of the rear wheel of the mustang)
