Hoping someone can help. I know the wiring schematics for the actual Streetsweeper HLF, but I do not know where and how to cut into the high beam wires on the 91 CHP Crown Vic I am rebuilding. I found a green/black wire that looks to have been severed by CHP and reconnected, but when I properly hook up the streetsweeper at that spot, only the driver side flashes and it flashes both high and low beam together.

What color is the Interior on your 91?

i dont know about the streetsweeper, but the green/black wire must be cut between the left & right headlights. It looks like you found the loaction of the previous cut. The two power out wires coming out of the most flasher units are yellow & blue. one wire( blue) goes to one side of the green/black wire the other one(yellow) goes to the other side of the green/black wire.

Please post a link to pics. I have a '91 CV that served with Brentwood, CA PD up near Stockton and upon retirement was picked up by Cinema Vehicle Services for a stint in the movies and television. I can see my car on the big screen!! (well, 27" screen at least) :)
351W 7200VV 2bbl white with tan, now b/w. Plans are to go back to original white.
Good luck with your restoration.

I too would like to see pics:)
My dad has a 91 that went to Mt. Shasta PD in CA after its CHP life. It still has some of its original equipment too.

I figured it out. The streetsweeper I had was broken. A few pics below.

I like that CHP...thanks for posting the pics.
Nice car and streetsweeper install but it looks like the rear red deck light should be flashing too no?

You cleaned that Vic up nicely. The correct rear deck light patterns should be amber/blue alternating flash or red/blue alternating flash only.

mac88chp: I've heard it both ways. The way you say and the way I have it. How would I wire it the way you said it should be. Currently I have amber/blue on a flasher and red is on another direct wire switch.

Because you're not running your lighting through the Rangr control head, you'll have to find someone with the wiring know-how help you sort it out. In the meanwhile, you can just switch the red off when you're running the amber/blue.
