Lakewood PD Fallen 4: This guy makes me sick

A Lakewood PD officer has been arrested for allegedly skimming over $150K from the fallen officer fund for the familes of the 4 officers that were gunned down at the Forza we frequented.

This guy makes me sick. To do this to the families left behind and the fellow PD officers is beyond me.

Makes me more angry as I donated several hundred bucks to help - and now makes you wonder if it ever made it there.

If convicted, I hope he likes his time in jail when this is all done. :redhot_an

If this is proven to be true, it's really sad. Just goes to show you that crooks come in all walks and professions.

Sadly this is not as rare as some may think. I am a member of a full time fire dept outside of Chicago.

10 yrs ago we had a member steal north of $300k, (that could be traced, estimates are north of $500k). He took the money from our Relief Association, Muscular Dystrophy proceeds, Union Dues and fundraising.

In the end, after conviction, he spent 18 months in jail and will be paying the various entities back for the rest of his life.

Not sure if the personalities associated with the job contribute to these types of problems; or, they are latent in all the population. It is very sad no matter what the cause.
