View Full Version : Any interest in .NET T-shirts?

I stumbled onto a pretty cool website that offers custom T-shirts. You can actually upload images to the site and place them anywhere on the shirts, custom-configure text, etc. I mocked up a 2 color shirt with front and rear printing and it looked like it would be $12-15 per shirt if we ordered more than 10. Below is a screen-cap of the front of the shirt I configured, with the website's name (in matching script) on the left chest

My questions:

How many are interested and what would you all like to see on the shirts? I think these would be great to wear at shows, and much more comfortable than polo-style shirts.

I like the idea:)

Maybe if we could have pics of finished member cars on the back?
Just something more that in the pic.

I could print shirts for you less than that. I can't put photos on the shirt, but lettering front and back for less than $12.00 a shirt

I like the idea. One thing I ask is that we use better-quality shirts than I've seen from some places. I don't mind spending a few dollars more for a shirt that holds up after 3 washes.

What would be on the back?

Thanks for the offer, John, but I think we should put a picture of an SSP or two along with the text on the back.

Bill, I'm with you on the quality issue. This place lets you choose the shirts, and it looks like they offer over 40 different brands/styles. We pick whatever we want.

As for what should be on them, I'm open for suggestions.

I think one of the finished Texas cars should be one of the ones that gets to be on the shirt. That would be neat, but there are so many awesome cars on this site.....

Here's my Tongue-In-Cheek proposal for putting on the back of the t-shirts. I think a sepia-toned version of the picture would be perfect.

I would definitely take a few but it would be nice with some sort of picture on the back. Maybe something like on the top of the page here with the 2 mustangs.

Gary,

That's what I had mocked up, but I didn't have access to the right files when I did it, so I didn't post it up.

Bill,

Nice!

Although I meant the picture to be a joke, it actually wouldn't be a bad idea if we are allowed to use that photo. If there was a potential conflict, it could be made into a caricature/cartoon with photoshop like was done with the cars in the forum header. I think the picture and caption actually conveys our focus and respects the history of the cars. Plus it would look cool on the back of a shirt!

At one time we had created some T-shirts to sell at a convention
originally I had the design silk screened on Yellow Red and White shirts
(red and yellow) being the most popular color for these cars. But the people
with Blue cars wanted Blue Green (yuck) Green and so on.
also with regard to size only order a very few small and medium
eventually I reordered only White and Only Large and X-large
most all the shirts are gone.
What shirts i did have remaining i devised a Unique marketing scheme
to move the rest of the stock.... but.
the idea was stolen and used today with some variations
you have probably see it in your own neighborhood
I invented this marketing idea!

I like the shirt Idea But i think it should not be Agency specific
and should say in large print
SpecialServiceMustang.NET
so at the car show gatherings people
will ask about the site. I don't think is should
say or imply too much about law enforcement
Keep it simple. Just my 2 cent.
if it said Andy is a great guy
that's ok too:whistlin:

Ask for either Port and Company ( PC61 ) or Gildan ( 2000 ) they are both 6.1 ounce 100% cotton, great T's. of course BeefyT's are always a good choice but usually a couple bucks more.

Port and Company come in TALLS L - XXXL only

Good luck !

I like the tall style shirts ... it always seem like shirts shrink in the length. Ill take 3- 2X talls

Mike, have you made any progress on the backside design?

Absolutely zero...busy week at work and flying out in the AM.

Glad to see the interest thus far, and I think we're definitely there as far as the numbers go.

I was looking at the Beefy-Ts, but I'll price the Gildans, also, once we finalize a design.

Kinda died on the vine.

I'm still up for it if we can come up with a design.

(nice one, Andy)

To be honest I like the home page. It would look good on back and everyone would recognize it....

Nice Andy, but you forgot one:

Would the creators of South Park sue us for infringement?...damn straight!

[but I still like it!] :)
