Hello, My name is Tony and I am a new member. I have a 1992 unmarked SC Highway Patrol Mustang. It is Wild strawberry with all red interior. When I say all red interior, I mean no black trim anywhere. It is also a factory five speed. I looked in the VIN list and found mine. It is IFACP40E6NF140284. Does this color combination make it a rare SSP? I pulled the carpet looking for a build sheet, but had no luck. Any information would be appreciated.

Welcome! Have you located the buck tag/s? This, among other things, would determine if it is in fact an SSP or just a civilian car turned unmarked car. I like the red on red cars for some reason. Any pics you have would be appreciated. We love pics! Take a picture of the door tag/sticker if you can. This will have the DSO # and Vin number on it. It should have a certified speedo, relocated trunk release button somewhere on the drivers side instead of in the glove box, etc. Thanks, and welcome again!

It does have the buck tags. One of the tags has police on it. They are behind the headlight bucket and hard to get to. It does have a dso number and the 160 speedometer. The trunk release is on the left side. It also has ground straps on the hood hinges and trunk hinges. It still has the numbers the state sprayed in the drivers door jam, under the hood and on the radiator support.I will get some pics on here in a few days. Thanks for your response

Every time I try to post my pics it says they are to big. What do I need to do?

Tony, if you are using a PC, hit the start button in the lower left corner of your desktop, and then click "All Programs". In the Accessories folder, there is a program called MS Paint. Use that to open up one of your pictures. The top drop-down menu has a tab for "Image". Click on Stretch/Skew and reduce the percentage as much as you need (use the same percentage for both directions). You can also go into Edit and click undo if you make it too small. I try to get my picture width to around 800-1,000 pixels. Once you get it to the right size, you can either save as-is or rename it as a smaller file. Then you can upload the pictures by attaching them to your post.

I have a Mac and I haven't figured out how to reduce my pictures. Does anyone know the best way to go about getting information on my Mustang? I pulled the carpet and didn't find a build sheet. I would like to find some paperwork on it. Does states keep records on their retired patrol cars?

I like to use an internet based picture uploader. I use Imgur.com personally. It will give you the HTML codes to upload pictures right into your post. Some of the other members here use Fotki. When I get some more time later today I will go through it more in depth if you need me to.

Also, this might help. I got this from FEP.
1.you will have to upload pics from your computer to a site like yahoo or make an album here (imgur, fotki, etc.)
2.open the full size pic, right click, click properties, copy the url
3. reply to post or open new thread, click the little icon with the mountain on it
it says(insert image)
4.paste the url you just copied in the pop up box, click ok
5. click preview to see if it worked
6. add text then click submit

Nice color/wheel combo. Real sharp looking with the dark tinted windows.

Thanks for the compliments. I have sold those wheels since that photo was taken. I bought a set of 17" silver pony wheels to go on it. I am in need of a red leather steering wheel without cruise. The previous owner removed the leather cover because it was coming apart.
