Hello I registered here awhile back but wanted to try a little research prior to posting up. Recently purchased a 1990 LX with VIN 1FACP matching the SSP Mustangs. The vehicle had front clip and driver fender replaced so no buck tags. I tried doing a little research on vehicle prior to posting and the Texas DMV title search and I was sent reports that only went back as far as 1999 (not much help). Car Fax had 1st title in Helotes, Texas, just outside of San Antonio, Texas. From reading other posts on this site, I noticed that several had purchased the MARTI report, so i followed and was sent my report. The report has car with SSP package, but I noticed under order type it is listed as : STOCK, and the dealer as Jordan Ford in San Antonio, Tx. From viewing other Marti reports the order type lists several as: FLEET. The vehicle has equipment holes in dash and has the trunk release button hole.

I have attached some photos; the car is white with blue interior, no rust, panels match vin (except for front clip and driver fender), engine pretty much stock. I plan to keep it that way and use it as a weekend, daily driver.

My plan is to one day travel to San Antonio or call and see what information the dealer can provide on original buyer to see if it was a local police force that purchased the car.

The site has been a great research tool and your posts have helped a lot.

Thank You

Welcome to the forum.

x2! Welcome to the site. Thanks for posting the pictures. Your car is one of four consecutive VINs. I hope you can solve the mystery about who the original agency was.

Welcome! That's pretty neat that you have visible writing on your car.

Since your car is a confirmed SSP, we just added it to our VIN Project using your pictures -

Welcome! I like your car! I bet it has an interesting history. Can't wait to see what you uncover about it. I'm liking all the SSP's popping up in the Lone Star State!
