Ansul CHP fire extinguisher

I need the correct model number so I can try to find one. If you have one please post the model number. If you have an extra one or 20 (Sam) I need to buy one for the 1982 CHP car. I am not concerned with it having the proper date code.

I have the correct carrier already.

Jim, the one I had picked up for the black 85 (from Sam, not the one from Mike, which is at home) has a model number of A-10-E. I will see if I can take a clear picture of the back label...

Picture #1 is from the front. Note that it is stamped C.H.P. at the base. Picture #2 shows the bottom of the back label.

I can get you an extinguisher like that and I can stamp CHP on it like I did mine.
No one will be able to tell. Looks identical.
The extinguisher place out here throws them away.
I usually toss them a $5.00 per extinguisher.

I can empty it and ship it out, up to you ?

This is the CHP fire extinguisher for my 85. You can see the CHP stamp at the bottom. I think my dad paid $200 give or take a few on ebay.

My extinguisher in my mustang looks exactly like Sam's original, has the CHP stamp and all.
K have the same die stamps as CHP uses.
No one can tell the difference. Same extinguishers, same stamp.

I believe Sam's Dad paid $200.00 for 8 or 10 originals from a guy in Northern CA.

If you can get $150.00 for an old fire extinguisher, I'll jump off a building.

I can stamp these and say they were CHP.
No way of telling. Just a generic extinguisher with a stamp on them.

I'll see how many they have left and gather what I can for those that want one. PM me if you do.

To all that are waiting for extinguishers... this is the status as of today.
I'll know more tomorrow.

Apparently a buddy of theirs picked up a few hundred of these extinguishers last week and took to an auction.
They will call me tomorrow and let me know if he has any left and how many.

If so, I'll go get them.

Sorry guys,
They have none left. they took everything to auction a couple weeks ago.
He told me to keep calling every few months.
I will do that.
I will also check around at some other places here and there and see what I can come up with.

He had about 80 - 100 of them a year ago when I picked mine up.
I would have gotten more, but didn't want them around my place. Didn't know anyone needed any.

Shoulda Coulda Woulda........
