Hey everyone, My name is Matt im 18 and I am from the Milwaukee, WI area. About a month or two ago I picked up a white 89 SSP. My first mustang, but I've been working on things from old BBC to BBF to AWD Turbo.
The car:
1989 Mustang SSP 170k on the odo..sounding right for a cop car! Clean Car fax.
Was a washington cop car I believe
5.0L 5spd
White, Idaho car(but used in Seattle)
Virtually no rust under car.
AC
160 mph speedo
decently clean interior
Body is pretty clean, a couple dents and chipped paint on front bumper corner. Cheap repaint done with runs. She is a driver though, minor fixes!

So far replaced headlights with stock ones and replaced that window trim. Also has bbk shorties and pypes x pipe soon pypes violator cat back. Still have stock headers and all that though. I really dislike the wheels but they have new tires. Unfortunately only has original spare and not the rest of the wheels, if anyone finds any let me know! Thanks for looking its a cool car with some neat history

Matt, WELCOME to our forum! It's nice to see a younger car enthusiast who is into (Fox-chassis) Mustangs. I remember your car from when the previous owner posted it for sale on CL. We had a short thread here about your SSP:

There are some members here who own Washington State Police Mustangs, so feel free to post up if you have questions about your new car.

very nice car plus rare CLEAN regetta blue interior, it's one of hardest parts to find, mines an 89 SSP with Regetta blue interior which is sunbaked... take good care of it. :) welcome to the site!

thanks! the drivers seat is torn on the side and there is a cig burn hole or something on the rear seat. The rear panels are pretty faded, I have regetta blue dye for them though.

Well it has been a busy a summer and haven't had much time to do anything on the mustang. I did manage to get one of the rear panels all painted up, it looks much better than before. Before painting the panel it was a light grey color filled with even lighter scratch marks. After cleaning and using adhesion promoter, the paint looks good and covered up 90% of the scratches. The only ones left are the really deep ones but at least they look better! I'll try to get pics when I do the other side.
