I have access to some vehicle databases and while researching some SSP title histories I discovered a batch of SSP's that were manufactured the day before mine. Most in this batch were shipped to what was called the Pacific Southwest Region. I'm only guessing but I believe that was were Ford Shipped cars destined for the Islands in the Pacific such as Hawaii. Several of these vehicles have been identifed as being shipped to and registered in Hawaii. At least one was registered as, MCBH Kanehoe, HI. That is Marine Corps Base Helicopter. I was briefly stationed there back in the early 80's. Several are marked as " Police Vehicles " in the title histories. And at least two are still on the road in Hawaii with " Police Vehicle " titles! How about that! Now a few of these that started service in Hawaii are now registered stateside. One in Nebraska, one in Wyoming. A couple are currently titled and registered in Hawaii most likely as civillian owners as the police vehicle designation is no longer present. Two in the consecutive VIN number batch were originally sent to South Carolina, not Hawaii. Anyone have any thought or insight on wether or not any SSP's might have made it into service in the Corps? Or maybe even a Hawaii Police Department.

Which model year(s) are these VINs that you found title/history/registration info on? Are the VINs in the VIN Project?
