In my Thread "Georgia State Patrol Pics" I posted a pic of a 1988 GSP and info on the car/Trooper.
as copied and pasted below;

Ok guy's here's another infamous pic.

Trooper Rick Ogden Badge 273 post 23
1988 GSP Mustang Perm 8284
VIN 1FABP40E3JF225797

What's really cool about this picture/officer/car is it is rumored to be the car used for the White Rose GSP Mustang . Get yours out and look 273 maybe it's true maybe just a coincident? Either way just thought you guys might enjoy putting name and car numbers with pics we've all seen numerous times.

Well the rumor IS TRUE !!!

only it's not the 1988 that it was modeled after but his replacement car a 1990.
as posted here;

Thanks MOstang for these pics :-)

Here's Trooper Rick Ogden's replacement SSP 0189.
It replaced;

1988 GSP Mustang Perm 8284
VIN 1FABP40E3JF225797

Trooper Rick Ogden Badge 273 post 23
1990 GSP Mustang Perm 0189
VIN 1FACP40E2LF188121

Note appears to have NO REAR DECK LIGHTS. This one also has Alley lights.

Seeing that the toy company included the same Permanent number on the decklid as on the real car, along with the corresponding Trooper's badge number on the roof/plate, it certainly removes all doubt about which car they were replicating. And with the GSP records you have in-hand, we can match the toy to a real VIN. :)

Nice job!

You're welcome Bobby and great detective work! Is this the Trooper (maybe car too) that was in a Real Stories of the Highway Patrol feature? I have video of a GSP one on CD as I recall...a stop in Atlanta and I don't think it's a re-enactment, I believe it was actual footage, but I could be wrong. His name, Ogden, seems familiar. Is that post in the Atlanta area as an Atlanta PD responded too. Thanks!
