View Full Version : One last FHP decal group purchase

Ok...I've had several more requests for decals, and it appears that I have no extras left. I'm willing to do the group purchase thing one last time.

We had some issues with the way a few were trimmed last time, and I'll try to make sure that doesn't happen with this batch. I also got stuck with extras last time, so I'd like to get pricing info from them and only order after receiving payment from anyone who wants a set.

Anyone who is interested...shoot me a PM.

Will this company make CHP decal set, I would be intersted in one and I am sure someone else would be also. It would be for both doors/trunklid and rear safety/service decals. They don't have to be exact replicas but close to orig.
Thanks

Not sure...and the CHP decals were manufactured using a special process, which many of the graphics places are unable to do (specific, expensive equipment, not counting any artwork or setup fees).

Shoot Andy a PM...he had a CHP set made and I think he's pretty happy with how they turned out.

This is the information I got from Andy and I think he also had it posted in one of his posts on his 85.

Ok...the decals finally made it in.

The company apparently changed the process they used to make these, and they came out pretty nicely. There isn't any trimming issues either, like we had with the last batch, as a result of the change. I'll be packaging them up and getting them out shortly.

Those look real good. The coloring looks dead on. Now, decisions, decisions. Permanent mount or magnetic backing?

I'm going permanent mount on my cars.

The decals aren't as crisp/clear as the originals, but I think that they are about as close as we are going to get.

Bernie,

I don't have any extras...but we can always order more (despite the thread title). :)

The last of these were shipped out today. Let me know what you all think when they arrive.

Bernie...I'll wait until I get a few more requests lined up and I'll go ahead and place another order.

Mike

Put me down for a set also. It will be a while before I need them, but I might as well have them on hand.

I know a guy (gotta love that statement!) who has two real complete sets. One has straight "r" and one has curved. They looked good except that there was a discrepancy of how many seals there were with left vs. right waving flags. I really wanted these but he wanted $300 per set. Does anyone else think that is a LOT on the high side for these?

OR maybe a LITTLE on the high side? They are authentic after all.

Hello - I received approval from the Missouri State Highway Patrol to purchase decals directly from their supplier. I rec'd their supplier's quote today and it's not a particular cheap proposition by any means. 1 complete set for my 1993 MSHP includes 2 State Patrol fender emblems; 2 CALEA fender emblems and 2 door emblems.

I've seen the Vitachrome CHP decals go for that, but I wouldn't pay that for FHP ones. The CHP decals are made via a very specific process that many companies cannot replicate. The FHP seals we did were not screen-printed like the originals, but were a bargain at $60 a set and look decent. My .02.

Hey Mike
I know that the order you made for FHP Decals was some time ago. Have you got any left?

No, they are all gone.
