I assume you're coming to Raleigh? I'd try to meet up with you but I'll have company from out-of-town until late afternoon. Have a safe trip and enjoy your visit.

Just got in from driving 16 hours round trip. The car is nicer than I thought it was going to be. This pic is from the ride home. I will post more tomorrow.

After I posted that I was looking for a 92 I got a PM from Jonathon in Alabama who sent me a link on craigslist. In the ad the seller stated he was only interested in a trade for a convertible or a cobra. I called him anyway and we talked for awhile. I expressed interest in the car if he decided to sell it. A week later he called me and we talked for over two hours about SSP cars in general, and my desire to have one of every year of production.

He said he wanted to sell me the car if I was still interested and I had him send me pictures of the property tag, bug tags, etc. I ran a car-fax, then ordered the Marti Report. The car checked out and I told him I would be down saturday to get it. I was somewhat worried that he would back out before I could get there.

Car was a two tone silver and black slicktop car assigned to interstate 77 in the Charlotte area. Holes are all present for the rear deck lights and antennas. Bracket holes are in the floor and the radio holes are in the trunk pan. It still has a very nice gatorback for a spare.

The car has never been out of North Carolina and there is not a spec of rust anywhere on the car. The quarter windows and ALL other trim is absolutely mint and does not need to be replaced. The drivers seat and top of the rear seat are killed and will need to be recovered. Still has the large round dome light mounted above the shifter. It has flowmasters with the correct 2 1/4 inch stainless tips, and has been lowered with springs and high dollar shocks added as well. Ricky Racer caster camber plates are also installed. The car handles like it is on rails, sounds good, holds good oil pressure and EVERYTHING works inside and out.

Single key lock, never a spotlight, no light bar roof damage, and has a set of original Ford chrome ponies installed. Also has an aftermarket radio. The silencer is also missing from the air cleaner.

The paint looks good from about 50 feet. It will be getting a paint job.
I am estatic to finally get this 92 from NCHP. Perfect car for my collection. This one will not need a ton of work to be show ready. I have already talked to M-Squad reference decals, and eventually this one will be back to silver and black. I already have some of the equipment to put in the car.

Thanks for the pics and the back story! That's exactly what I was excited to hear!

The car looks like it's been well taken care of and not beat on. It's harder and harder to find them like that. Congrats on completing your collection with such a fine car Jim!

thanks guys...... I hope to finish them all in another 10 years. Maybe I will truck them all to the 60th celebration. That right there would be one hell of a display....

How many of the 12 are already finished?

the 93 FHP car is complete except for recovering the seats. My upholstery guy and his family got arrested for trafficking in cocaine last year. I finally found another shop that is going to do that work. When that is finished it will be done.

The 86 idaho car is still in the paint shop but is very very close to being painted. I am hoping to have it done by the end of this year.

another good day. Located a 1994 NCSHP plate for it. The car was in service from 1/92 thru 3/95 so the 1994 plate will work perfectly.

Need to find the Tait Repeater/Charger that they used for their portable radios.
