I put a coat of satin black Krylon and some clearcoat and got a set of Eagle GT ii 's mounted.

They don't look half bad. Best way to save money if you can't powder coat.

 Krylon satin black is the way to go on these. Referencing a perfectly preserved original spare, that's the color/sheen the powdercoaters used to duplicate the finish they did on my rims.

Jack,

If you need anything powercoated in our area look at Detecive Coating in Colonial Heights, just down the road and they do nice work. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Not yet, Bill. I am hoping to get the 1987 out to get painted very soon. I am trying to get the parts ready for reassembly. I figured I would treat it to a matching set of tires. I don't think it has seen Goodyears for a long time.

I bought a set of 10 holes that came with two Goodyear eagle Gt ii's, I was lucky and found two more for a matching set. Those new gatorbacks are nice, but my whole set of tires with rims were about what one of those gatorbacks cost.
