Been working on the 88 WSP car a little... Changed all the weatherstripping, fixed the spot light, put the wig-wags back in, along with the correct switch and red light, fixed the horn, (needed new horns, and new horn pad on the steering wheel) new brake and clutch pedal pads, buffed and waxed it, Did a Mobil1, Ford Racing, MSD Tune up, found some NOS blue "Motorcraft" hoses, took out the carpet and power washed it, took the upholstery off the seats and ran them through the washing machine *twice* tinted the windows, removed, sanded, and repainted all of the black window moldings, new cowl panel, wiper arms... Hopefully get it painted real soon... Only problem I had was the ignition switch coming apart on me at work... easy fix, but got stranded for 45 minutes...

Going to make a run at this one. I should have bought after I sold the GT350

Here is the link to the eBay ad -

This car was already in our Project, but I added a couple of photos from the new listing -

I wonder why the Buck Tag has a different DSO number than the VIN label? We have seen a mismatch before, but in that instance as I recall it was only 1 digit off. This time it is off by 13. Regardless, the car owner has a Marti Report on the vehicle.

Good detective work, Mick! It could be that the seller used a photo from an 87 to help sell their car...

Contacted the seller about the 2 different DSO numbers. Response below:

"the car didn't have the buck tags, roll bar, or fast idle handle.. I bought all of them off of Mike Jakubec... I hated it not having the buck tag.. I can email you a picture of the car it came off of.. it was in a junkyard in Spanaway Washington"

Buck Tag might be from this one: http://www.specialservicemustang.net/VINlist/WA/1987WA153280/info153280.htm

Thank you, Chris and Mick! I revised the car's page to remove that photo of the Buck Tag. It's still a nice SSP, and with a Marti Report in-hand there is no uncertainty about the car's usage even without the Buck Tags (because the DSO number matches other WSP cars from that same batch).
