Not mine. Found this on Indianapolis Craigslist. Seller provided me the VIN, 1FABP40E2KF267945, which falls in a batch of 14 consecutive VINs, with 3 others listed as Indiana State Police, in the VIN project. Some additional pictures he sent me are attached.

$7,000
FOR SALE or maybe TRADE
1989 Stang SSP (special services package) aka cop car
the SSP / cop cars were faster than gt's or regular notch's
it has the buck tags, markings under car and the factory 160 mph Speedo
this is built and runs strong.

cash would be nice, but will trade for a nice car/vehicle for my wife.
which means I'm looking for stock or slight mods, want low miles and dependable

It is modified but not beyond restoring if someone wanted an ISP badly. Since the driver's door is gone, you would need to confirm the DSO number on the Buck Tags or order a Marti Report.

As a follow up, I spoke with the seller above yesterday. He stated a kid bought and totaled the car. :No no:

Of course! That's gonna happen when these cars fall into the wrong hands. 'Hope the kid wasn't seriously hurt.

Good for other isp owners.

How is it good for other ISP owners? My SSPs are from states that also has relatively small number of SSP purchases. Personally, I don't like to see where someone has totaled one of the rare ones, as was evidently the case with the SSP that's part of this post, even if it makes what I have more rare and valuable.

I hear ya, Mike. The loss of this SSP probably has little to no impact on the value of any remaining Indiana SSP Mustangs. It's just sad to see a rare car disappear. But, we cannot save them all...
