Chp Camaro movie chase scene (1982)

I found this today. From the movie the Junkman (1982). The CHP camaro looks to have all the right equipment. I wonder if it was a movie car, or they used an actual CHP camaro.

The Vette driver is the same guy from the original Mustang movie "Gone in 60 Seconds".
