Just returned from attending a Retiree Luncheon put on by CHP Northern Division. Excellent day with old friends, partners, CHP K-9, Bicycle Patrol and Motorcycle Demonstrations and great food ! at AirOps Redding.

Got a couple cool shots with one of the N.D. choppers and my mustang. Thought I'd share. Hope not to bore anyone.

It was a fun day !

Thanks guys, it was a fun day. !
Taking the car to the CHP Quincy office on the 5th.
Quincy is somewhat close to Reno, NV.

Guess they are having some kind of a car show at the fairgrounds there on the 6th and the CHP office there wants the mustang to be there with 4 other CHP vehicles they are entering. Their P.I.O. called me asking to bring it.
( Public Information Officer )

Long drive, but that is what the car is for. I don't mind when the CHP asks for the car. I enjoy showing it for them.

Mike, I haven't seen or heard form you in a while. Hope all is well !
Thanks you guys
John

John, have fun and please take more photos. My old 85 CHP (#408395) had worked out of Quincy, CA. I've never been there, but it looks to be a stunning part of the state.

OK Bill, I'll try to get some pictures for you. I'll see if the P.I.O. may have any old photos around from the old days.

It's a pretty drive getting there, I know that !

Doing fine John. Mostly been busy with our other Mustangs but did have time to finally get the A/C fixed on #3035 and get down to the Morro Bay show. Also did the Pacific Coast Dream Machines show in Half Moon Bay as part of a special display of vintage police vehicles. Wish I could do more with the local CHP offices but all the PIOs around here seem very young to me ( who doesn't these days LOL) and don't seem to be much interested in exploiting the old cars.

Oh yeah, traced the spotlight failure down to a faulty inline fuse holder which I replaced with a new blade fuse type. Cheers!
