Wanted to share an update on our progress of restoring a '87 Washington State Patrol - Unit 710WSP. We acquired this car from a fellow member, RHINO. What really drew us to this car was that it was originally equipped with a partition roll bar / cage. It is my understanding that only two of these partitions are known to exist, with the other installed in a PCSD car.

Ryan was instrumental in getting me in touch with the trooper that drove the car in service, Trooper Mike Herron. In my last discussion with Trooper Herron, he stated the car is looking just as he remembered it. He stated the Mustang was the most fun car to drive and has shared a number of stories with us. If you notice in the in-service picture, Trooper Herron had an ATS Turbo decal on the quarter window. He stated that "of course it didn't have a turbo, but the kids and knuckleheads didn't know any better". Luckily, I was able to find a place to replicate a decal for us.

This is an in-service picture from Trooper Herron

Nice! Can you post up a photo of the partition/interior as taken from the passenger-side door?

Thanks guys!

It's not the best shot, but this is the only one I have right now.

We can't take all the credit for it. RHINO had the car painted before we got it and had acquired the WSP specific equipment. We're really just wrapping up what he started.

Two thumbs up! Mike is so very proud of what you have done with the car. He's very honored to have his car in a museum, let alone anyone who would have interest in his past rides. One of the coolest guys you can ever meet.
