Guy said......"come to the end of the road, last gravel driveway on the right, bring a big trailer if you want them all"

So I snuck out early for a 10 hour drive. 👮🏻👍🏻

I hope the end of the road has a BIG turnaround for that rig of yours. Drive safely, Jim! By the looks of it, you'll have to change your signature (again!) when you get back home after this latest haul.

Jim left our house this morning at 0500, so he will be home in the near future.

We had a great visit! I had both batteries charged up, and the GT fired right up for Jim. The SMPV needed a gallon of gas in the tank, so a bit of starting fluid was used to get her running until the carb rec'd fuel. Both cars were loaded before dark (barely!), and Jim finished loading the parts while I fired up the grill. The three of us split 5 filet mignons, washed down with some beer/Bourbon.

Jim and I looked up some SMPV information before turning in, and I got a kick outa how excited Jim was about the documentation that Jack (Va 5.0) had found, and the photos and other details that will help Jim restore the car correctly. I am VERY pleased that Jim picked up both cars. Plus, I now have my 2-car garage back for my 66 coupe and 94 Cobra. That makes me quite happy. :)

Made it back to the house by 3 PM and have everything unloaded and put
away . Now it is time to relax. A big thanks to Bill and John for letting me buy these three cars. I am real happy to have them. Here they are tucked away for now.

Every time I see this thread! It helps that it was on an episode of "Fresh off the boat" last week.

My painter looked at the Nevada car last night. He wants to paint it ASAP. It might be headed to him in a month or so.

My painter is coming over tonight to help hang doors on the Jeep Comanche project.

and

to look at the 86 Nevada car. Hopefully in a week or so he is going to start on it.

I am going to be building walls and finishing the shop in the mid-west barn where all the cars rust.... so I can start assembling some of this stuff. It will be good to get a few cars completely finished.
