Last week I picked up a 1993 Florida SSP that had the roof numbers of 1318. I was curious how I would go about finding out more information about my car. I look forward to bringing her back to her glory days. Today this is what the car looks like.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new SSP. It can be difficult to track down agency info on a specific FHP Mustang, but we do have a FHP restoration page (http://www.specialservicemustang.net/FHP.htm) here. Also, be sure to check our VIN Project (http://www.specialservicemustang.net/VINlist/VIN.html) to see if your car has an active link. If not, we can add a page if you post up more photos. :)

My car does indeed have an active link on the Vin Project. What all pictures would be helpful in updating the link?

Things we look for on the VIN Project are photos of:
- VIN Label from driver's door
- Back Tags from radiator support
- Agency identifiers (roof numbers, property tag in glove box, copy of orig title w/ unit number)
- Accident reports
- Agency supporting documentation
- PDF copy of Marti Report (you can Google that or search here)
Of course, we all love SSP eye-candy, so feel free to post up more photos of your SSP!

Here are some more pictures that can be added to the VIN Project:
1. VIN Label on Driver's Door
2. Buck Tag 1
3. Buck Tag 2
4. Property Tag in Glove box
5. Radiator Support writing
I was told the roof number was #1318 which could be seen prior to painting. I plan on ordering a Marti Report and will post that later.

Found a reasonably priced Jetsonic light bar. I just need to clean up the domes and find the correct mounting brackets.

Looks great! I always prefer the black wheels on a SSP even when they're not correct. :)

Great look'n photos! Thanks for sharing. :)
EDIT: Be sure to exercise due caution when driving on public roads with your markings and lights uncovered. You can end up in a bunch of trouble.
