For some reason, I thought this had already been posted here. I couldn't seem to find it, though.

I remember seeing it on Facebook, but just a general post (can't remember if the agency posted it or an individual).

Ohhhhh! I remember seeing that one now. Do you see anything on this car that matches your 82 car? I wonder if Montana could run a history report on that tag number?

I do not see anything...but now I need to check the drip moldings for any signs of lightbar mounts.


Friend just happens to be former local LE from MT, knows many from the agency, and already has a call into them. I'll post anything I'm able to find out

I saw it a few weeks ago on FB. I was apparently on my phone, because I saved it there. Can't remember the specifics on who posted it, and haven't been able to find it again via FB's search.

Here is what I was able to gather at that time.

I have two contacts with the Montana Highway Patrol that I spoke with 2 years ago. One spoke with a retired Colonel whose father remembered the car. He said it was not marked and only tested for a short period of time out of their Great Falls District. He expressed that it was there then just went away. The other was a dispatcher in the early '80's and remembered the car. He also said it was used out of the Great Falls District and possibly still has the names of the Trooper that potentially drove it. I forwarded the picture to both of them, in hopes they may recognize the individual in the picture or the "MHP 345" plate may help.
