It's in Australia. I posted the pic at some point. 0258, 0600, and 1963 are the only units that have surfaced and have known in-service pics.

Hi Andy, yes Mike is a good friend of mine, he semi retired a few years ago and moved up the coast.

He converted my 68 convertible 20 years ago, a top bloke.

How did you know of him?

Cheers

Michael

WOW how cool is this contact?
I was a very active amateur radio operator in the early 80's
and had a friend in Sydney that was into Studebaker cars
His name is John Saunders (do you know John)?
I at the time (as now) am involved in Mustang's,
Shelby's and interesting Ford and Ford powered Stuff.
so John Saunders and I talked cars allot and John had this Idea?
and said....... Why don't I get someone from
the Mustang club Here to talk to you and you can get
someone from you local Studebaker club on your end, and we can
all talk cars on our next net schedule..... So we did! This was
pre internet and dialogue was real time. Allot a questions
and back and forth about where Cleveland blocks ended up
and where the rest of the Studebaker ended up and so on?
Later that year we traveled to Australia and hooked up
with my Studebaker / Ham radio friend and the
O'Sullivan Mustang crew!
They ALL showed up at our hotel
and drove us to a local car show. Here I am sitting in a car
i am very familiar with except i am sitting in the front left seat
looking at the glove box and not the steering wheel while O'Sullivan
is in the right seat looking over a steering wheel and
operating the car. My wife is in
the back seat yelling at me WATCH WHERE YOUR GOING
cause after all I was in the Drivers seat (if we were in the States)
We had a fun day and being from the States we had allot a questions
about early Mustangs.
When Mike was in the States he and his Daughter came by for a visit
this was back in the mid 80's. Good to hear he is doing good.
and i Agree...Very good guy! and yes
If we drive on the Right Side side of the road
you must be driving on the Wrong Side of the road :-)
Take care or as car guys say in Boston Take car
Yank Joke!
