Looking for something around $3500 or so. paint and body no problem (prefer no rebuilds though) just needs most of the important stuff.

It looks like it still has the original blue hoses on the car, though they're brownish now. The one major thing that would worry me about buying a car from the northeast is rust. That may be why the car has ground effects on it, to cover up the rusty lower quarters. The rear wheelwells look okay, but you never know. I would request pics of the underside. Wouldn't be a bad deal if it's fairly rust free.

Yea, he first told me no rust then later told me lower quarters have been replaced... sorta scared me off, you know what I mean?

These 87's were unique in their options.
manual mirrors
Blue hoses
1 driver side spotlight
No oil cooler
bonding straps/groud traps
only 2 reported to have had lightbars
red and blue halogens in the rear deck
red and blue Whelen Micro-Grill Masters, with aluminum housings strobes in the front
wig wags and sometimes a cadet type rotator light on the dashboard.

Mike (ImEvil1) has a good restoration document here that has the equipment and all.

The reason I checked it becasue our local PD used 2 or 3 ssp's around '88 or '89.

I just missed this car a while back. It was said to be a Florida car. Why the blue interior?

ImEvil1

If it was an unmarked FHP car, I guess it could have had a blue interior. Do you have the DSO for it?

Did you veiw the pics on ebay? Check out the one underhood ;driverside strut tower. Primative... Wouldn't be too bad to fix but not real sure I want a unmarked car (unless it was the Rome Ga. green car).

ImEvil1

Thanks for the pic, Brian.

Well...it has the 24 DSO, but that could mean any agency in FL. Odds are it was some other agency.

Yea the blue interior makes me Think of Ga. cars not Fl.

That's why I checked it. Maybe it was a Defuniak car.

That car is still in Ga. auto trader. I called last week but he had traded it off. He's the one that told me it was a old FL police car. He was asking $3700 OBO. I still got the # at work he may know more about it?
