Wanting to keep the original 15 inch wheels. Not wanting the Goodyear VR60 tires as this is not a show car. No liking the rock hard 400-700 tires. What other options if you want to drive your Mustang?

I've had BFG Radial T/A (https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=BFGoodrich&tireModel=Radial+T%2FA&partnum=26SR5RADTARWL2V3&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes) tires on a few classic Mustangs and really liked them (they're now a bit pricey). I have General Altimax RT43 (https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=General&tireModel=AltiMAX+RT43+%28H-+or+V-Speed+Rated%29&partnum=26HR5AMRT43&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes) tires on the wife's daily and they were a great improvement over the OEM Continental tires. Another choice would be Uniroyal Tiger Paw Touring A/S (https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Uniroyal&tireModel=Tiger+Paw+Touring+A%2FS&partnum=26HR5TPTAS&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes), although I have no feedback to provide on those. Cooper Cobra Radial GT tires are not available in P225/60R15.

Yep,
Been using BF Goodrich Radial T/A’s for many years even my old LT1 9C1 Caprice. They hung on the roads when I go WOT. They are very reliable and smooth. Trustworthy muscle car era tires.
That saying, when I bought the Caprice she had Dunlop (cant remember model of them since 2005) 255’s tires all around and I could lay tire marks at 30 mph and swerve like a snake. When I went to BFG, she hung on and went like a bat out of the hole at 30 mph. No more black marks. Unless from full stop, different story but you get what I am saying.
