Hey all,

Looking for some guidance…. I have gone through most of the posts on here as well as the resto docs RE: factory supplied GoodYears (225/60/15).

I know there are re-pops available as well, however my question is more geared to period correct as in what was actually issued back then…

I see that some of the resto docs reference the GoodYear EAGLE GT+4, then I also see some mention in threads of the Good Year EAGLE VR60’s.

I found advertising literature from 1986 introducing the debut of the GoodYear GT+4’s, so I’m assuming these were first issued starting in 1986 based on the literature.

For the 1987-1993 SSP’s, was there a change over from the Eagle GT+4 to the Eagle VR60, or is there definitive confirmation that all 87-93 SSP’s always came with the Eagle Gt+4 (if equipped with the GoodYear brand)?

My understanding…

85-90 had Goodyear Gatorback 225/60/vr15.
91-93 had Goodyear Eagle GT+4 215/65/vr15.

Not sure for years prior to 85.

What he said.

'82s had BF Goodrich Pursuits, '83s Eagle GTs. I'm sure there are other exceptions that we have no idea about.

Thanks for the replies Mike & Mike!!

Currently the “GT+4” isn’t reproduced right? Only the “Eagle GT” from Coker Tire is available, is that still correct?

Phil, my 1988 WSP SSP has a Goodyear 225/60 VR 15 EAGLE M+S (mud and snow?) spare tire and black 10 hole wheel. I assume it also had 4 of them when in service. I tried to include a picture here but I'm not that skilled. I emailed you a picture.

From my experience looking I believe you are correct, although I haven’t looked recently.
