The blocks on the right side were free on Craigslist. just had to drive into Mesa to get um
but free! the red blocks were 3.99 ea. at Home-Depot but they are the LARGE type
retaining wall type because i need the elevation change on this end. two trips to get 32
I have a small trailer and these things are really heavy. i will post more pict as the project
continues. have not been back a week and already have this project started. that is all.

thanks Jim.... I really hope i can make friends with Ralph but he still hates me for building
the building. We always do something major here and then go away for half a year.. so
when we come back we don't remember that we had made extreme changes like the split
rail fence or landscape changes.....who's house is this? I am just now getting accustom to
seeing the new garage.:)

Got a few more blocks down. found a spoil pile dirt and abc dump site at the end of town
so we have been filling in the ruts and low areas....5 gal buckets at a time. eventually we
will have a a dump truck deliver road mix and level it off. that is all.

Is it just optical illusion or does it seem that your driveway slopes down towards your garage ? I would make sure your runoff isn't going to be eliminated by raising that area. Looks nice though.

Thanks.... Richard...The new driveway is higher near the street and lower near the house
so that's the area i need fill in. also the new garage is higher then the existing house! have a

some wine and all that kind a stuff! All a bunch a car guys and the wives (someone has to

Not in AZ. You can grow grass and mow it in the 115 degree heat or just put rocks everywhere and stay inside! LOL

I thought i would re visit this post to show any interested parties
how the driveway came out! it's been done for a while now
and is level enough to park a visiting camper or trailer on. or
to be able to drive a low car on and into the garage wo/any
dips or snags.

the area to the left is gonna be a picnic/sitting area
where friends can visit. We made the wash digging out
the ground by hand and bridges are Harbor freight
loading ramps!

I'd go just to park in that new driveway!
That's a nice looking project. I wish I had a talent like that.
I have so many oak trees in my yard that I can't make much look nice for all the dead leaves everywhere!
