Looking good! Just found out this evening, I'll be including my MSP Mustang in the 2017 Woodward Dream Cruise Automotive Roadshow TV Program (yes the local TV stations broadcast from the Woodward Dream Cruise and have local programming related to the Woodward Dream Cruise...it's a HUGE event). Will be a nice opportunity for further positive public relations on our great SSP passion!

Thank you, Jonathon! Built at San Jose Assembly. That helps a lot. I don't have many San Jose tags. Will add the tags to the database and registry.
http://foxchassis.com/fep/registry/pc/options Does it have any of those options? From the door and buck tag it does not have factory A/C. From the buck tag it does not have defrost. |

I apologize for not posting pictures
but i am having trouble with the site i usually use and need to find another Http not Https site. No discussion needed on this subject. unless you know of a HTTP site like Tinypic.com so here is what i seen at BJ. Inside one of the many tent's was two long rows of all year and ALL style and models of Fox Body Mustangs It was Fox Body Nirvana to say the least. I have Pictures and will post them when i can. also I was up in Payson Arizona and found a Black n White 91 Mustang and was able to talk to the owner because I watched Him park a few row's over. he said that he had bought the car 14 years ago and it is his daily driver. Has spots and is a 5.0 with auto and electric windows Red Flags.........Yes! He told me it was a Dare Car at one time and in looking at the door jam i seen this sticker above the Vin n Data sticker that said (High Standard Automotive) It was faded and had been on the car since new. And i did get the Vin 1FACP40E6MF161232 SSP Investigators have at it, and i will post pictures when i can I suspect this was an off the shelf 5.0 coupe that lived it's life as a DARE Display vehicle and has an Auto and Power windows so anyone can drive it? Have Fun with this one. Not the car.....The story. |
It sounds like you've been having a good time!

I am trying a new free photo hosting site
if it goes thru i will post more pict. http://www.imagebam.com/image/fd6185727387263 |

Still working out the bugs
this is the door jam of one of the many fox cars http://www.imagebam.com/image/b2324e727401553 |
Loved to see those foxes....actually recorded that episode to see them sell. Some of them were misrepresented as all "original", and clearly weren't. Can't believe how high a few of them went. Thanks for the pics.
|
Thank You
for hosting this site! What is your take on the Payson AZ DARE Car.. and who is (High Standard Automotive) a make ready shop??? |
Your guess on that one....Many GSA cars were auto with power windows/locks, but I'd guess it's not one.

Well Bill,
It looks terrific to me. I have a 94 4X4 the same color (or it was the same color until the Sun ate the paint off). Take care of that truck and it will last a long time. |

Thank you, gentlemen! The truck has a nasty habbit of slapping a big ole smile on my face whenever I drive it. It's a sharp looking truck for not a lot of coin. The only repair so far has been installing a new radiator in the driveway. The front fuel tank needs to be replaced, and maybe a new windshield too. It needs a Class III hitch installed too, just in case I want to tow a new SSP home some day.

The secret is out! The Pierce County Sheriff Department #1310 SSP will be part of the museum's collection.
It looks great with it's new permanent markings (I really dislike calling it 'hard-marking', but I digress). Feel free to add more photos to the car's page (or here in this thread). How did you do with the lights to replicate one of the few slick-top Mustangs that PCSD had? |
Work is being quietly done on updates for the VIN Project.
I hope all is well with you and yours. :) |
I hope everyone in SSP-land is doing well. I've been getting some more of the cars in my picture folders added to the VIN Project. As of today we now have the following numbers by year in the Project -
1982 --- 28 1983 --- 49 1984 --- 74 1985 -- 273 1986 -- 178 1987 -- 438 1988 -- 412 1989 -- 539 1990 -- 404 1991 -- 221 1992 -- 279 1993 -- 497 ------------ . . . 3,392 SSP Mustangs confirmed That's not too shabby. |
Very nice!
|
keep up the good work Bill. The VIN project is what keeps us afloat here I believe. I see it mentioned a lot of times when people put a car up for sale.
|
Thanks Jim!
Happy Thanksgiving, y'all! :) |
Confirmed
Thanks for all your hard work and time Bill
|
Resurrecting this thread to say "Happy Thanksgiving!"
