Thank you, gentlemen! I am VERY happy with the car. The weather this week should be warm enough for me to turn on the outside spigot so I can wash the car and clean it up. Trailering the car across 2 miles of dirt road due to a road emergency detour sure got it dirty (shhh... don't tell Bobby about that!). Assuming all goes well with DMV tomorrow, I should be able to drive it to a Cars & Coffee show at my Masonic lodge this Saturday. :)

Looks fantastic, glad it made it home safe and sound. Fun begins now!

Yes sir! I drove it to work today and will take it through DMV inspection this afternoon. The car seems to run fine. The trans was rebuilt with a shift kit, so it bangs the gear changes as you might expect (but not too bad). The car rides like a maintained 28 year old Fox Mustang. I forgot how rough they feel compared to newer Mustangs. It's all part of the experience, and I am really enjoying myself with this car. :)

As expected, the car failed DMV inspection. I was THIS CLOSE to getting past the safety inspection (due to the car's age I believe), but the second inspector had a trainee so she put me through the ringer to show him all that could be checked. It failed for the passenger-side highbeam and the two license plate lights. Emissions were a-OK, as was everything else. So I was able to get a 30-day temporary paper plate that allows me to drive the car. I will jump the headlight issue and give a look-see on the rear decklid for those lights. I got to run it a bit on I-95, and she seems pretty solid.

Indeed it is! :D

And to erase any doubt, attached is a photo of the dirty car sporting its 30-day t-tag.

Thanks Jim! This will be a fun SSP for me. The Cars & Coffee Social we had at my Masonic Lodge yesterday was nice for being our first one with only word of mouth publicity on FB. We had -

2 Corvettes
1999 Viper
1934ish Dodge pickup
2 Triumph roadsters
2 Mustangs
2 Harleys
3 mini-choppers (Shriners)

And a bunch of people who came to socialize. These meetings started out as a coffee get-together on the 2nd Saturday of every month, and I turned it into a Cars & Coffee social. 'Wish the picture was better, but you get the idea.
